S.C ROM RE RO MUNTEANU S.R.L. was a private equity company which was set up in 1993. Specialized in research and production the company owned a production facility with a capacity of 500-1000 tons per month. The company focused on processing its own technologies by unleashing its scientific potential oriented towards advanced and high-quality products. On Feb. 14th 2011 the company was purchased by DYNEA. - echological varnishes and lacquers used in the wood industry, designed for protecting massiv wood furniture, wood, parquet, panelling and other types of wooden surfaces
- adhesives (casein-based adhesives, scotch type adhesives and other types)
- washable paints and binders for washable paints
- binders for the textile printing area
- flocculent agents for the oil industry
- dispersions for processing and finishing the natural leather in the industrial sector
- resins of several types and uses:
- urea-foramldehyde resins for the wood industry
- phenol-formaldehyde resins for plywood and for water-resistent plywood, for fiberboard, for laminate – used in the manufacture of thermo-insulating window frames and wooden floors - and for mineral wool insulations
- solid resins Novolac type used in foundries, for pressed elements, in the rubber industry, for brake shoes in the automobile industry and for friction materials.
- Alkyl phenol resins used in the rubber industry area.

Dynea expands in South Eastern Europe –
Acquires S.C. Rom Re Ro Munteanu S.R.L. in Romania
Dynea Chemicals Oy has acquired the total capital stock of S.C. Rom Re Ro Munteanu S.R.L., a privately owned Romanian company manufacturing adhesives. This move is in line with Dynea’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the South Eastern region of Europe.
“We expect to see substantial growth in this region in the years to come,” says Ms Nina Kopola, Dynea Executive Vice President and President Dynea Europe. “Romania is an interesting country, with strong growth in our customer industries and we are very excited about gaining a foothold here. Furthermore, this acquisition will give Dynea the opportunity to focus even more into phenolic specialty areas.”
Rom Re Ro’s production site in Rasnov, close to Brasov in the middle of Romania, develops and manufactures a wide range of products including urea and phenolic resins for the wood-working industry and novolacs for a variety of other industrial applications. The company has an annual production capacity of 50,000 tonnes as well as research facilities.
The company is a market leader in specialty phenolic adhesive resins in Romania with exports to Italy, Poland, Serbia and Croatia. Established in 1993, Rom Re Ro employs some 40 employees.
